There are new businesses opening all the time these days. Winter Haven is starting to come back to life and look good. The hustle and bustle is back. Projects are going on around the city. The downtown area has been mostly renovated and looks good.
So take a ride around town and see what is out there. I get up early in the morning and go get my coffee and take a ride around the city and see what it has to offer and what is new? Plus there are not many cars on the road so you can take you time. You getting to see the cities early morning lighting.
Aquatic Weed Control - AE Aquatic Weed Control. We use AE to take care of our lake front on Lake Howard and some other projects. Terrell, Mike and the rest of the crew do great work and can transform you lake front into a beach front.
Banks - We use Bank of America and Center State Bank in Winter Haven. BOA is our #1 choice but we are building a business relationship with Center State Bank. They seem to be friendly and on top of things. But we have been with BOA since they were Barnett Bank. That is where I opened my first bank account in FL and where I got my first loan. RIP Barnett Bank. It was a good bank.
Churches - Well, you can't go wrong here. There are churches all over Winter Haven, FL. Big ones and small ones and some mediums in there as well. If you pull out of Beymer's parking lot on Lake Howard and are heading toward the McDonald's and say a curse word? Just hang a left on Ave F NW and the First Presbyterian is right there. And if you leave there heading toward Havendale and let a bad word slip again? A few blocks up on your left or right are a few churches. There is one thing in Winter Haven we have more of than lakes, and that is Churches. Big ones too.
Real Estate - We use a variety of Real Estate Professionals. It depends what area we are looking in? In Winter Haven, FL.area we use Mike Nolen Jr and his Team at Caldwell Bankers or Jack Myers and his Team at Baron Myers Realty. Both are great teams of real estate professionals. Mike and Jack are both great individuals to boot. They are honest and will shoot you straight when dealing with you and have been around the Polk County area for many many moons. I would give the edge to Mike Nolen Jr on the tech knowledge side of Real Estate. But again, both are super great Brokers with a great Team working with them. You can't go wrong with either one of them. We actually have switched over to using Baron Myers Realty for our Property Management Team.
