Hello everyone this is David McBrayer and Welcome to My Awesome Life. On this page I will share some photos and videos from the different vacations I have taken around the world. OK not quite around the world but a lot of travel around Europe. I have been to places like: Aruba, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Curacao, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Luxemburg, Panama, Prague and Turkey. Great cities like: Amsterdam, Athens, Brussels, Den Haag / The Hague, Florence, Istanbul / Asia Minor, Koln, London, Munich, Mykonos, Paris, Paradise Island (Bahamas), Rome, Salzburg, South Hampton, Trier, Venice. Vienna, Windsor, The Queen Mary 2 across to South Hampton, UK twice and other cruises.
I have twice rented a car and drove to multiple countries on one vacation. On one I rented the car in Munich, Germany and drove to Salzburg for a few days and then drove to Prague on some neat old back roads that took us through some very old villages and towns. We stayed in Prague and few days and what an AWESOME old city that was not bombed during the war. From there it was back to Munich Germany heading the other way from Prague. So it was like a giant circle around those 3 countries.
One vacation was a drive from Munich, Germany to Vienna for 4 days and then drove to Salzburg for 3 days and around the beautiful countryside before we got there. This is where "The sound of Music" was filmed. We then drove back to Munich, Germany where we got lost in a forest. Hey we were not the only one's we were following others who we thought knew where they were going. About 5 miles into the woods and an airplane a waiting, we headed back out and I found the way. The dang GPS disc would not work.
Another more recent one found us renting a car in Amsterdam, Holland and drove to Koln / Cologne, Germany, Trier, Germany and many other old German cities and villages. Then it was off to Luxemburg where we were going to stay over night but the hotel had no lift or A/C. No lift and no A/C equal no stay. LOL. So we hot footed it to Brussels for a night. My traveling companion was feeling ill so we seen a doctor and he advise at least a weeks rest so it was back to Amsterdam for 12 days. LOL I have to say I did not mind that one bit. LOL. Amsterdam is probably my favorite city in the world. They speak like 4 languages and are as nice as can be and are open minded toward life so I got to respect that. OH and I do all the driving while on these vacations. I love to drive and I really love to drive in Germany. It is true. Speed is not an issue is some parts. I tested it too. LOL
So enough talk now it is time for a little walk. If you are going to talk the talk well then you better be able to walk the walk. So here are some photos to start with and then some videos to come.
