My name is David McBrayer but a lot of people know me as Capt 420. I am a lyricist and I am Teamed with a very talented young musician named John E Mendell. I have named him, King John. John E Mendell. We will get into why I call him that a little later. I also like to call us King John & The Captain. Capt 420 That is. We are both registered Writers / Composers with BMI.
John and I write original lyrics and music which become our original songs. Yes he can do some covers but we like to do our own material. This is how it works, I start off writing some lyrics for John to see. If John likes it he tells me and then he sticks it in his vault to work on when he has time. Then John takes the lyrics and works on them and adds his touch to them. He then works out all the music for each instrument, plays each instrument, sings the songs and mixes the music. So now you know why I call him King John. John E Mendell. He plays the Drums, Bass, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Sings and Mixes the Music. That is a King in my book.
I have added a few of our original songs which I have taken and added some pictures to and made them into videos or movies. We have more original material that John is working on turning into a new song. So check back often and please leave a comment and LIKE the video if you get a chance.
